Birthday Note

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

I LOVE that verse! Today is the ultimate birthday celebration! We get to celebrate the birth of the Christ child.

Yesterday was my birthday and my son wrote me a note that said this ” I’m sorry I didn’t make you a present, but that’s not what your birthday is about. It’s about celebrating your birth with friends and family and having a great time, and that’s what I hope your birthday is like this year.” Love your son, Luke. (I promise you I am not making this up, he really wrote it all by his amazing little self)

Wow! That’s my hope for you…..just what he said……that you are able to celebrate Christs birth with friends and family and have a great time. I know it’s not that easy sometimes, because we live in a world filled with broken families and pain and hurt……but when we keep our eyes on the ONE true HOPE, Jesus, in this world it makes all that yucky stuff seemed to fade away.
