Cheesy French Bread

Beau Monde Cheese Bread is the perfect addition to any meal. This side dish goes especially well with grilled steak, fish, or chicken and veggies. A kind warning once you make this cheesy bread for a family gathering you will always be asked to bring it. Which is just fine because it’s super easy and oh so very delicious!

Shredded Gruyere cheese is something you probably won’t find in the grocery store you will have to shred it yourself or you can substitute shredded swiss. I personally like the nutty flavor of the Gruyere and it melts nicely. So now once you have the cheese mixed in with the butter mixture…smear it between the slices of the french bread….

Oh mama, save me from this evil…that calls itself bread! I DO love a good crusty loaf. Very hard not to sneak a slice….no one will ever know if I did, now will they….

Ok….I forgot to get a picture of the smearing of the spread between the slices…maybe because I had my hands were to busy sneaking a slice of bread into my gullet! You are big people right, you can do that right? Don’t forget to spread it all over the top too!

There you have it, yummy gooey goodness. And if you are one that is freaked out by mustard like my boys (big and small) GET OVER IT! You can’t even taste it. My boys ate it, what they don’t know won’t hurt them. Guaranteed!

Enjoy! Let me know how the printing goes….oh I hope it works

  • Wrap the loaf up tight in aluminum foil and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. You can unwrap and put back in oven if you would like it to be toasty on the top.
