Creamy Mixed Berry Pops
The farmers markets and roadside stands across the country are over flowing with berries, and I can’t get enough of them!! I love eating fresh berries, making jam, or baking them in muffins, but one of my favorite ways to eat fresh berries is with whipped vanilla cream!
This month I’m partnering with the United Dairy Industry of Michigan to showcase beautiful fresh berries with dairy, and what better way to preserve fresh berries than to freeze them! And what better way to freeze them but in the form of a creamy dreamy popsicle!! Which is essentially berries with whipped vanilla cream on a stick! I’m licken’ my lips. YUM!
Creamy Mixed Berry Pops are so simple to make! Make a double batch because they won’t last! What could be better than a Creamy Berry Pop to celebrate the summers amazing berry harvest! It really doesn’t get much better than that!
Creamy Mixed Berry Pops are also ridiculously easy to make. If you don’t have popsicle molds no worries, you can use dixie cups and good ol’ fashioned popsicle sticks! What a fun way to get in the kitchen with your kiddos! All you need is MILK, fresh berries, your favorite Jell-O instant pudding; and you’ve got yourself a fun craft and healthy snack!
I promise you won’t be able to eat just one….they go down pretty easy!
I hope you are enjoying your last days of summer! Thanks for stopping by, Sheila
Creamy Mixed Berry Pops
Equipment
- 8 popsicle molds
- 8 dixie cups and food grade popsicle sticks
Ingredients
- 3 ounce package Vanilla Instant Pudding
- 2 cups 2% Milk
- 2 cups assorted Berries I used a combo of blueberries, strawberries, and black berries.
Instructions
- Combine pudding mix and milk in a bowl, beat until pudding is thick, about 3 minutes. Fold in berries that have been washed and dried.Fill popsicle molds with pudding mixture, tap molds or cups on countertop to insure that all the air bubbles have escaped and that the popsicle mixture has settle to the bottom of the mold. Place sticks in the middle of your mold, making sure they are standing firmly upright. Place popsicle in freezer for 24 hours. Allow to sit out for 5 minutes before removing popsicle from its mold, or running mold under warm water will release the popsicle from the mold.
