Caramelized Onion & Goat Cheese Rolls

Caramelized onion and goat cheese are the perfect pairing in this scrumptious roll. Perfect as an appetizer or served as a dinner roll.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf frozen White Bread Dough thawed
  • 1 tbsp flour for dusting counter and rolling out bread dough
  • 4-5 ounces goat cheese crumbled
  • 3/4 cup Caramelized Onions see link in notes for caramelizing onions
  • 2 tbsp butter melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Brush baking dish with melted butter. Leave half butter for brushing over rolls when they come out of the oven.
  • Roll dough out to a 12x18 inch rectangle.
  • Spread onions evenly over dough, and sprinkle with goat cheese getting cheese as evenly distributed as possible.
  • Roll dough from the longest side away from you, pinching the edges together when roll is complete. Give the rope of dough a slight stretch.  Slice with a serrated knife in 1 1/2 inch slices.
  • Place slices in a lightly butter dish. Leave a little room around each roll, you need to give them room to rise. Cover with a tea towel and allow to rise in a warm spot in your kitchen. Or if you have a proof setting on your oven use your oven. Allow to almost doubled in size, approximately 1 hour.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 16 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and brush with the remaining butter.
