Thousand Island Dressing

A spiced up version of Thousand Island Dressing using chili sauce instead of ketchup! (Want it even more spicy add some chipotle peppers.)

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup Chili Sauce or sour cream
  • 1/4 cup Sweet Pickles minced chopped very small or sweet relish
  • 1 tablespoon grated sweet onion
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chipotle pepper in adobo sauce this is optional if you would like your dressing spicier.

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl whisk all of the thousand island ingredients together.
  • Serve over mixed greens, as a dip for vegetables, as the sauce for Reuben or any panini sandwich. This dip/dressing is also wonderful used as tartar sauce with fish.

Notes

Note: dressing will keep for up to two weeks in an airtight container in your refrigerator.
If you prefer the original Thousand Island Dressing mix 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 cup ketchup, and 3 tablespoons sweet relish together salt and pepper to taste. 
Russian Dressing: add 1 tablespoon of prepared horseradish
